The Shrayer Law Firm was awarded over $1.6 million dollars in federal court against publishers of defamatory content
The judgment effectively bankrupted the company that published lies and defamatory content, which damaged the business reputation of the Shrayer Law Firm’s clients. A permanent injunction was also issued forcing the removal of infringing content from Google and various web hosts.
Broward County Jury unanimously sides with Shrayer Law Firm on all counts and pierces the corporate veil of the defendant
in March 2020, in Broward County, Florida, Attorney Shrayer persuaded jurors that corporate formalities were not followed and the individual defendant was actually an alter-ego of the defendant corporation. The Court trebled the damage award for the Plaintiff to $624,470.50. Piercing the corporate veil ensures that a Defendant cannot hide money simply by declaring a corporation bankrupt and a Plaintiff can get at the owner of a corporation’s personal money. This is a feat rarely achieved by any law firm.
The jury unanimously returned a guilty verdict on all counts argued by Attorney Shrayer for (1) Fraudulent Misrepresentation and (2) violation of the Florida Deceptive Unfair Practices Act (FDUPTA).
The Shrayer Law Firm receives one million dollars for client
in 2020, in a case where due to negligent hiring and retention practices, the Defendant’s employee hit Plaintiff with a fork lift resulting in various injuries to the Plaintiff. Despite undercover video footage showing that the Plaintiff was still able to work, taken by the Defense right before trial, Attorney Shrayer was able to negotiate a deal pre-trial that was the best case scenario for the Plaintiff, earning the client a cool one million dollars.
The Shrayer Law Firm is awarded one million eight hundred and forty two seven hundred and fifty thousand dollar ($1,842,750.00) judgment in Federal Court against a California Corporation
In 2015, for patent infringement after the award was trebled due to willful infringement. The judgment was trebled to reflect Defendants’ willful violations of both federal patent and trademark law. A permanent injunction was also issued, which prevented the Defendants from ever again engaging in the infringing conduct.
Customs and Border Protection raids warehouse of notorious counterfeiter thanks to information provided by the Shrayer Law Firm
Attorney Shrayer worked with United States Customs and Border Protection and Homeland Security Investigations to have counterfeit products seized upon their importation into the United States. Subsequently, the firm prosecuted the importer in United States District Court in the Eastern District of Michigan and was awarded a $600,000.00 judgment and a permanent injunction on behalf of its clients against the importer. Subsequently, Homeland Security Investigations raided a warehouse in Washington State based on leads provided by Attorney Shrayer. The counterfeit products were seized and arrest warrants were issued.
